Chickpea is the seed of the annual plant of the pea family, Cicer arietinum. Due to its high nutritional value, it is used all over the world as raw, roasted, fried, baked or boiled, in snacks, desserts, seasonings. Chickpea is also one of the raw materials of hummus, which is consumed quite a lot all over the world.
